Troy Green, PA-C, MPAS, began his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas Pan-American, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology while excelling as a Division 1 baseball player. Following his athletic career, his dedication to helping others steered him towards the medical field, culminating in a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Mr. Green brings nine years of diverse experience to Blue Agave, encompassing cardiology, internal medicine, hospitalist medicine, and functional medicine.

Recognizing a significant need for healthcare services in the Rio Grande Valley, Mr. Green launched his career in cardiology and played a pivotal role in establishing a walk-in clinic in Brownsville, TX. This experience exposed him to a wide range of comorbidities, deepening his understanding of the critical need for proactive healthcare. Consequently, he adopted a preventative and functional approach to patient care while opening integrative medical clinics nationwide, a philosophy that has consistently guided his practice.

Mr. Green’s commitment to this approach ultimately led him to co-found Blue Agave Functional Medicine alongside his wife, Brooke Green, and Dr. Knepper.
